A wonderful area. Breathtaking views of the cliffs and the sea; it's worth coming here for hiking and, in the summer, definitely for swimming. I recommend staying at the nearby Durdle Door Holiday Park.

afraid of heights? don't look over the edge at the point. woooo it's a shear drop to the rocks. Gets the old ticker going that's for sure.

It is a beautiful building in its simplicity with many notable features.

Durdle Door is the stunning and much photographed sea arch to the west of this headland and Man o' War cove lies to the east. Both beaches are great for a swim and the coast path along here offers miles of wonderful running. It can get very busy here in good weather but it's still worth a quick stop to look at the geology, when you start running again it only takes a few minutes to leave the crowds behind.

Bat's Head is a chalky promontory in the south Dorset coast. At the base of the cliff is a bat's cave and from the top you get awesome views out to sea and along the coast. Durdle Door to the east is particularly good from here.

This used to be the place to go on the south coast but unfortunately now everyone has realised this. Will be keeping my favourite purbeck beaches secret from now on.
