On January 25, 1634, on the return journey of a supply convoy from Ingolstadt to Wülzburg Fortress, a League supply convoy was ambushed by the Swedish on the Jura plateau near Raitenbuch. 300 men lost their lives, and 800 were captured along with their commanders.
