Since 1888, the King Harry Ferry has connected St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula with Feock, Truro, and Falmouth. It is one of only five chain ferries in England and runs every 20 minutes, completing the trip in 7 minutes. It carryies over 300,000 cars annually and it helps save around 1.7 million kg of CO₂. Regular crossing on the small ferry. Disappointingly for 2 bikes plus 2 people it's £6, and for 2 people in a car it's £6. My friend who used to live near here tells me that, until recently, it used to be free for bicycles.

This disused railway line takes you along Calenick Creek. It's a nice place to run to from Truro as despite being so close, it really feels like you are immersed in nature. The Calenick Creek feeds into the Truro River, which joins with the River Fal.
