Bourton Down lies within the Cotswold AONB and is a Jurassic limestone grassland site which supports a number of interesting wildflowers. These include the rare Pasqueflower, Bastard Toadflax, Early Purple Orchid and Bee Orchid.

Situated high on the Cotswold escarpment, Batsford Aboretum covers 56 acres and around 2,900 trees, with a large collection of Japanese maples, magnolias and pines. The cafe and shop are free to enter but tickets are required for the arboretum.

Built in the 12th century, this rural church lies in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. St Mary's church is Grade I-listed and made of local Cotswold stone, giving it a rather lovely look in keeping with seemingly every other building in the picture-postcard village.
