The group of Monkey Puzzle trees can be seen for miles around, and are a clear way point on the Offa's Dyke path.

Originally a motte and bailey Norman castle, only the earthwork mound and ramparts remain now. The castle is accessible by public footpaths from the nearby village of New Radnor and the castle still command a ranging view over the village and countryside. The castle's former use as a gaol ensured New Radnor's status as the former County Town before that status was moved to the larger Presteigne.

There’s a little pull in to left to stop for a breather & take a look from the bridge across the River Arrow. (Note you can’t ride across this)

The Cathedral Green is open to bikes and Church Street, leading off it to the north, has several good cafes you can stop at.

At the heart of Pembridge is the Market Hall built in around 1520.

The well-maintained cathedral is pleasing to the eye.

You can cycle through the cathedral close to connect the route through town, avoiding some of the one-way system.

Ridiculously pretty chocolate-box village. A pleasure to ride through. Also has a tea room.
