The remnants of a much bigger forest, high on a hill. Very atmospheric place.

A market place which is regularly used on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays with an Antiques market on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month.

The ruins of Ludlow castle is on a promontory overlooking the River Teme. It was one of the first stone castles to be built in England and dates back to the 11th century.

Built in 1619 the hotel is still trading today!

The path emerges from the trees to give an expansive view to the east, including the distant Abberley Hills

You do get a view of the distant Welsh Hills from the summit, but you need to stand on the bench to get a good view as the trees are starting to grow and block it out.

Having walked along a broad track, the way takes a right fork onto a less defined path. You need to take this right fork as it does lead directly to the summit.

Close to the summit of High Vinnalls there is a fine view to the east, towards the distant Brown Clee and Titterstone Clee hills. When you emerge from the trees you do hit thick bracken, and it is easier to head right and onto open land, before doubling back along a good path to get to the true summit.

Spanning the River Teme at the entrance to Ludlow is the beautiful Dinham Bridge. This super nice arched stone bridge is not as old as it looks, being built in 1823, it is not that old in UK terms, and it was constructed by no other than Thomas Telford. It is a stunning bridge with a gorgeous river vista and views of Ludlow Castle.

An amazing historical building of interest 💒

Can't believe this castle is still standing, it is amazing and well worth the near £10 for a visit and to get inside.

What a beautiful old town to visit. The buildings are amazing and so full of character. Anywhere you look, you will look in amazement at these old structures.

The museum contains an interactive environment rich in history, while encapsulating the architecture and social history through its town centre location.
