The views from Old Sarum are highly praised and are one of the main reasons visitors come to the site. Because the castle is situated on a commanding hilltop, it offers sweeping and far-reaching views across the Wiltshire countryside. Lovely fields of mud after rainfall. Rode in February. It had been raining quite a bit, what fun.

We had to cut off part of the route as it was too bogey.

Admission charges apply to the top of Old Sarum (free if you are a member of English Heritage), & car park charge (also free for English Heritage members). Toilets available in the car park.

We stayed here for the Enve Stone Circle Ride and it was absolutely beautiful!
