Bishop's Frome is a prosperous little village on the banks of the River Frome. The fertile countryside around the village has led to local cider and hop industries. The village is home to two public houses, the Chase and the Green Dragon, both of which serve good food. Bishop's Frome is a good base for exploring the nearby Malvern Hills AONB, the Wye Valley AONB and the rural splendour of Herefordshire in general. Guesthouses can be found in the surrounding hamlets and villages.

Bromyard is an archetypal Herefordshire market town, famous for its half-timbered inns and olde worlde stylings. There is excellent walking on the nearby Bromyard Downs, a landscape of undulating gorse, grassland and woodland. The romantic Lower Brockhampton Manor House and its orchards and parkland is also delightful, just to the east of the Downs. Bringsty Common's sweeping slopes make for another picturesque place for a ramble. The Malvern Hills AONB are only a short drive away too.
