The Anzur Castle dominates the highest points of Puente Genil. The watchtower is dated from the 10th century and from the Arab period.

Climb through the Estepa pine forest to reach this high point and the communication antennas peek out from among the trees. Great gravel trails around the forest and nearby quarries.

You'll be glad to have a bit of suspension on these cobbled streets as you climb the hill overlooking the city. You will reach the sites of the Santa Clara Convent and the impressive Alcázar Palace on the hill of San Cristóbal that dominated the city since Moorish times.
