This municipality in the Cinca Medio region has a rich architectural heritage. Its square has been declared a Historical-Artistic Monument and is home to beautiful palaces and noble houses. Its monumental fountain also stands out, an impressive construction with six pipes. And the Fonz is known for its abundant springs. In fact, that's where its name comes from: the Latin word "fontes" (fountains).

The emblematic Plaza Mayor has been declared a Historic-Artistic Monument, it houses the Renaissance building of the Town Hall and the magnificent 'fountain of the six spouts', built in stone in the 16th century. Another distinctive feature of Fonz is the abundance of constructions related to water.

Its spectacular Templar castle has witnessed ten centuries of a hectic military history. It was erected by the Muslims; later it would be the seat of the main Templar encomienda of the Crown of Aragon, where the infant Jaime I, future king of Aragon, was educated. Currently, the castle houses an interesting Interpretation Center where you will be introduced to the fascinating world of the warrior-monks of the Order of the Temple.
