The first laundry in Abengibre, built in 1926, is a historical and architectural treasure. Its attractive design is characterized by a hipped roof and is composed of two rows of twelve slabs each. It was used until the 1960s, when a new, larger, more open laundry room was built. Although rehabilitated in later years, the batteries did not meet the needs of the washerwomen, so it has once again fallen into disuse.

The Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Abengibre is a historical and architectural treasure. In 1723, Abengibre obtained its independence as a parish with its own priest and delimited territory. Before that, it was part of the Jorquera Parish along with twelve other towns. The dispute over the separation of the parishes ended with the death of the parish priest of Jorquera in 1722. The erection of the new parish was approved in Rome on September 21, 1722 and signed in Murcia on November 8, 1723.
