The Sanctuary  The large complex, visible for its elevated position with respect to the entire plain, is connected to the street level through a large and suggestive staircase in piperno. The building, constructed in the 17th century around the small original temple, bears the signature of the architect Giovanni Paolo di Ambrogio di San Severino. It has a Greek cross plan with a single nave: in the center of the transept stands a majestic dome. The façade is adorned with a beautiful portal with Corinthian columns. Inside the church there is a small temple built by the feudal lord Girolamo Barone and most likely created by Cosimo Fanzago.
