Mancor de la Vall is a hidden mountain village in a valley on the eastern foothills of the Tramuntana mountains. From the monastery mountain of Santa Llúcia, which towers high above the village, there is a wonderful view of the island plain below. Saint Santa Llucia is the patron saint of the blind and visually impaired. It is tranquil here, the place seems a bit like Valldemossa, just without tourism and souvenir shops. Opposite the town hall is the bar Es Puput. One of the sights here is the Sa font de Mancor de la Vall, a fountain with a public laundry.

Camino de Font S'Avenc, the path to the spring on the southern slope of Puig Massanella offers breathtaking views, good "signage" with green and red paint and piles of stones. Alpine hiking/climbing experience is an advantage (if you don't have any, collect some here😉). Descent is not recommended, however, as you can only see the green and red signposts when ascending. A loop back via the GR221 is more recommended. The descent, see Komoot highlight "Climbing passage on the Massanella", is also tough, but it is shorter than the s'avenc and has no crevices in the rocks, in a very quiet 30 minutes of full concentration you can make it down to the GR221😅

Following the path is really hard. A number of fallen trees mean that you can hardly follow the original path - which is very difficult to see and is marked by a few piles of stones.
