Gallocanta Lagoon, located between Zaragoza and Teruel, is the largest natural lagoon on the Iberian Peninsula and a unique area due to its high salinity. Declared a nature reserve in 2006, it is one of the most important birdwatching spots in Spain, with more than 220 recorded species. Every autumn and spring, thousands of cranes stop here on their migrations, offering an unforgettable spectacle. The area is rich in trails and viewpoints, so it is recommended to bring binoculars and comfortable shoes to enjoy the wildlife and scenery at a leisurely pace.

The Hermitage has a picnic area, parking, and public restrooms. It's an idyllic spot for birdwatching and nature watching.

The Gallocanta Lagoon Lookout, with several posts around the lagoon, serves as an observation point for migratory and native birds.

The church is the main element of the town of Campillo de Dueñas where it is well known for its past and especially for the tower that is located near the center, the Castillo de Zafra. This castle located in the south, has been present in films and television series.

Next to the path, we find this beautiful windmill that reminds us of those of Sancho Panza in his stories about Castilla-La Mancha. It is in a good state of conservation and is located near the town of Ojos Negros. Without a doubt, one of the charms of the Jiloca region that deserves to be visited.

Beautiful hermitage in a spectacular setting, such as the Gallocanta lagoon. One of the best places to watch birds. There are informative panels about the lagoon and the birds, a place to make a barbecue and an area to take refuge in case of a storm.

From this observatory we will have privileged views of the Gallocanta Lagoon from the heights, it is recommended to go with binoculars to see the birds up close. The trails that surround the lagoon are ideal for gravel or mountain biking.
