The Palau Baltà is a Gothic-style manor house dating from the 14th century. It was built by Francesc Babau after 1308 on the site of the Vilafranca castle. It was renovated and expanded in 1522. It is also known as "Palau del Fraret" or "Can Babau". It has three exterior facades: the one that faces the Plaza de Sant Jaume and the one on the streets of Torre and Escudellers.
