Very close to the road is the Cueva de la Mora, where there is a legend that says that there lived a Moorish woman who went there never to be seen again, angry after the discourtesy of a shepherd.

This is one of the defensive towers in this area, built in the 10th century by the Muslims during the reconquest, dominating the alfoz area of Talamanca. You can get to it through several paths from the town of El Vellón.

Cabanillas de la Sierra is one of the typical mountain towns in Madrid. Despite being located on the N-1 highway, it has a very quiet atmosphere and is ideal for a stopover.

The reservoir was built in the 1960s and has been a vital part of the region's infrastructure ever since. It has roads and trails that are ideal for running and you can also see a lot of birds in the area.

There are two clearly differentiated urban centers, a beautiful watchtower of Arab origin, lots of traditional architecture and Los Quebraones, a very interesting natural area.

The reservoir is a very quiet and picturesque place. There is a path that allows you to go around it completely or you can do a short walk through the Sierra Lagos from Pedrezuela or El Vellón.
