La Vecilla de Curueño is a small town on the banks of the Curueño River. The town's most notable monument is a fortified medieval cylindrical tower that is part of the extensive patrimony of the noble Counts of Luna from Leon.

From this point, approaching the Torío river, we have a magnificent image of the Roman bridge next to a small waterfall.

Near a beautiful Roman bridge we find the cement works and the church of Villalfeide, a good example of rural religious architecture.

At this point we find a monument to the miner. The Bardaya greenway is the old route of the mining train that brought coal from Pico Polvoreda to the Bardaya mine. We walk along the route next to the town of Metallana de Torío along a beautiful route.

Beautiful beech forest with magnificent views of the valley. In spring and autumn, we will see the forest in all its splendor.

In the Cimero refuge, located in a beautiful place surrounded by nature, we will find a rest area that will be great for us to recover energy before continuing with our route.

Nice path that runs along the spine of the Collado Cimero with beautiful views over the Orzonaga beech forest. This path joins with the Cimero Refuge.
