We had to cut our hike short after about two-thirds of the way and were able to reach the other side of the gorge via a narrow path. It had rained heavily in the days leading up to it. The stream was very high, and in some places, the elevated path had disappeared due to a landslide. Nevertheless, it was absolutely worth seeing what was down there. ...

The bridge is wide enough, but the road is very narrow in some places. And large buses use it.

Proper hiking boots are essential, otherwise the mud will be worse.

Very beautiful, partly shady path along the water canal, almost 1 km long. Always sensational views of the region. 😍👍

There are some old levadas around the Finca de Osario. Above the finca there is a well-preserved section that you can walk along for almost 1 km - great views of the region guaranteed!😀👍

The highlight is on a section of the Levada (approx. 300 m). Not steep, and not difficult either. If you go from the road onto the Levada, no problem... we came via the MTB trail, which is very arduous though... not a hiking trail 🙈
