Very quiet in this beautiful town in Spain

Next to this bridge over the Guadarrama, in Toledo, the old inn that provided services to travelers was located. Currently you can see the ruins of the building.

The hermitage of Cristo de la Misericordia and the parish church of Santa María Magdalena stand out. A curiosity is that this town is still buried under the rubble of the real estate boom. In the 2000s, it was intended to turn it into a new "dormitory city" for Madrid and the town went from having 500 to 2,000 homes, many of which were never lived in, or even finished building. The town went through a hard stage after the real estate crisis that still lasts today.

The church of San Esteban Protomártir stands out, built during the 17th and 18th centuries; the hermitage of the Santísimo Cristo de la Sala; the Loranque farm, a farmhouse from the end of the 18th century; and the open-air sculpture museum, which exhibits works by contemporary authors at various pedestrian points.

Cozy town whose old town has been declared a Historic Site, so you can get an idea of how beautiful some of its houses are, which coexist next to the imposing church of San Sebastián. Méntrida also has its own Designation of Origin wines, so if you make a slightly longer stop, don't leave without trying them.

Fuensalida has had several moments of splendor, being in the 16th century when it reached its peak and most of the emblematic buildings of the town were built. In the middle of the 20th century, a footwear industry started that ended up becoming the largest in the province of Toledo, a rank that it still holds today.

Huecas is a small and quiet place, whose only bar, however, is capable of feeding a whole platoon. Perhaps because it is one of those places that is usually passed by, it is even more worth taking a walk through its streets.

It is almost impossible not to cross a highway to reach this town which, being so well connected by road with Toledo, Talavera and Madrid, has been chosen by many people in recent decades as a place of residence. It is an excellent place to make a stop as it has all kinds of services and is also quite multicultural, so the gastronomic offer is quite wide.
