Tentsmuir offers opportunity for some short gravel ridding. As an alternative approach route cycle across moore to the south, picking up coast at Lechuars skirting around the north edge of the airfield. Gives access to a very large and usually empty beach with views back to St Andrews.

The Ice House was built in 1852 and was used to store locally caught salmon. To provide insulation, layers of heather and straw were packed around the ice, creating a rather ingenious deep freeze.

Walk through the wonderful Tentsmuir Forest, situated inside Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve in north-east Fife in Scotland. The forest is home to a wide variety of wildlife and hosts some beautiful tree species, including Scots Pine and Corsican Pine.

Here is where the Dighty Water river flows into the Firth of Ray in Dundee, Scotland. A bridge takes you over the water, where you can enjoy some serene views out over the bay and across to the North Sea.

A good spot to watch the small boats coming in and out. Decent cafe and pub options too.

Tayport has a lovely harbour on tha banks of the River Tay. It's a nice place to stop and watch the boats as they travel towards the River Eden. Tentsmuir Forest lies to the east of the harbour.

Erected in 1794 as a boundary marker for fishing rights.

Numerous traffic free roads and off shoots to explore.

Ice taken from local ponds in winter was packed round fish stored in here to help preserve them for onward travel.
