A great section of the trail with a lot of variety! You'll pass through 2 cool tunnels and get a first glimpse of the impressive Clipstone Colliery Headstocks

An excellent trail underpass! This tunnel is part of the old railway line running through Vicar Water Country Park, a key landmark on the route.

This is a key point on the trail within Vicar Water Country Park. The area, known as Colliers Plantation, is a testament to the local history, as it's built on a reclaimed colliery spoil heap. It marks a transition from open trails to a more wooded section.

There is a sign at the entrance saying "private road", but it seems to be part of the National Cycle Network 6, and no problem riding to pass through.

Very busy, with a lot of dog walkers, for those with nervous dogs aim for a quieter time.

Well worth a visit

This 10-foot-high sculpture of a human hand was created by an artistic cooperative called BANK well over 20 years ago. It was crafted as part of a national cycling network project, organized by the charity Sustrans. From afar, it appears to be constructed of metal, however, it’s in fact made from fiberglass.

Due to its venerable age, an old legend has manifested itself on this large oak tree: the story of ROBIN HOOD, which has been told over and over again for many centuries - although by no means historically confirmed - and is known and loved from literature and film far beyond the borders of England. This tree is said to have given him and his loyal followers, whose area of activity is located in Sherwood Forest, shelter here. You may want to believe it or not - the main thing is: the myth lives on!
