Although you go up by road, it is a very nice climb with relatively little traffic, other than the motorcycles that are going to enjoy the curves. We, on the other hand, will twist with each curve in which the slope increases. Harder than the numbers say

The Senda de las Gariñas is a circular path 6.5 km long. The route crosses part of the forest mass known as the Gariñas forest and reaches the Puentes Viejas reservoir, where we find the riverside landscape. The forest is made up mostly of resin pine, although as we approach the banks of the reservoir we also find ash trees and Montpellier maples.

The Puentes Viejas reservoir is located in the middle course of the Lozoya River, in the Sierra Norte (Madrid). It belongs to the Canal de Isabel II reservoir network and is the third reservoir in the direction of the current that the river passes through.
