The former Cistercian monastery has lost none of its charm since its founding. Luccaburg Castle was an early medieval lowland castle near Loccum. The tower hill castle of the Counts of Lucca, dating from the 11th/12th century, is recognizable as a massive, round earthen mound. Parts of the 2 m wide circular wall are preserved. A Count Burchard of Lucca is mentioned in documents around 1113 and 1130. His daughter, Beatrice of Lucca, married Count Wilbrand of Hallermund, who thus became his successor and heir. In 1163, he donated the surrounding land to Cistercian monks for the establishment of Loccum Abbey. Luccaburg Castle can only be reached on foot or by bike. Almost everyone is familiar with stag beetles. They are up to nine centimeters long, making them the largest beetles in Central Europe. Only the males have the enormous, large "antlers" they use to fight each other. The slightly smaller females, measuring six centimeters, are nevertheless immediately recognizable as stag beetles, scientifically known as Lucanus cervus. From the Tempelberg lookout point, you can enjoy a view over the Weser glacial valley and, in good weather, even as far as the Weser Uplands. There, you'll find the Lönshütte, a shelter where hikers can stop and enjoy a snack. At Tempelberg, you'll also meet Lüttjemann and Püttjerinchen. A story by Hermann Löns (1866-1914). The little gnome Lüttjemann goes on a journey and has several adventures. At the end of his journey, he meets Püttjerinchen, and they celebrate a gnome wedding.

Brokeloh is a village worth seeing and is characterized by its long-established village structure with half-timbered houses and a vibrant village community. Brokeloh has won several competitions such as "Our Village Should Become More Beautiful - Our Village Has a Future," including district winners in 2002, district winners in 2003, and winners of the 2004 national competition. Having received the gold medal, it can rightfully call itself the "Golden Village" or "Germany's Most Beautiful Village."
