At the end of the Stadtstreek in Rotenburg's pedestrian zone, your attention will be drawn to a beautiful old half-timbered house: the "Alte Apotheke" (Old Pharmacy), a house dating from 1835 with a charming entrance area that has been photographed and painted many times. The door features a brass knocker and doorknob made by the Ehlermann and Kovatsay iron foundry. A pharmacy still operates inside today, possessing a very special charm. Stepping inside feels like stepping back in time. https://www.nordwaerts.de/sehenswuerdigkeiten-museen/poi/alte-apotheke-100210890/

The bronze sculpture "The Three Generations" in Rotenburg is an impressive work of art created in 1995 by the artist Carsten Eggers. The sculpture depicts a grandmother, a mother, and a child sitting together on a bench. It was donated by the Rotenburg entrepreneur and honorary citizen Hinrich Heineke. The depiction of the three generations is clear and appealing. The grandmother, whose bag the child leans towards, almost always has something left behind that the mother doesn't have. Children look into the grandmother's bag as they pass by and enjoy the artwork just as much as adults. The sculpture is located in the middle of Rotenburg's pedestrian zone and is easily accessible. A visit to the sculpture can be easily combined with a stroll through the pedestrian zone or a walk on the 8-kilometer-long Rotenburg Cultural Trail, which connects the city's most important art and cultural sites.

The Rotenburg Watermill is a historical landmark in Rotenburg. The mill is located at Mühlenstraße 18 and was first documented in 1597. Originally a grain mill, it was built by Bishop Philippus Sigismund. Over the centuries, the mill has undergone several structural alterations and restorations. Today, the Rotenburg Watermill is a popular destination for hikers and those interested in culture. It is part of the cultural trail and offers insights into the history and technology of watermills. Although the mill is no longer in operation, some parts of the original milling machinery have been preserved.

The Schlossberg in Rotenburg is a historically significant place. Although the original "Rode Burg" was demolished long ago, some remains are on display. The hedge planting indicates the former course of the fortress walls. The Schlossberg is part of the approximately 8 km long cultural trail and offers a beautiful area with apothecary garden and agricultural outbuildings. A visit to the Schlossberg can be easily combined with a hike or a tour of the surrounding area. There are also regular medieval events, where the "Fogelvreien" set up their tents and there is a colorful hustle and bustle with a market, military camp and evening spectacle.

The "Gate to the City" is an impressive work of art that was erected in 1995 as part of the city's 800th anniversary celebrations. It was created by the artist Werner Ratering and consists of two seven-meter-high stones with gold-coated metal plates incorporated at the top that almost touch each other. The work of art commemorates the rivers Rodau and Wiedau as a cultural marker.
