The human presence in Arauzo goes back to Antiquity. To the remains of a castro from the first Iron Age must be added the important Roman footprint in the shadow of neighboring Clunia, one of whose tracks passed through this place and continued through Lara to the Ausín river passing through Peñacoba and Silos

Water reservoir that is close to the center that has the same name as the reservoir, Arauzo de Salce. It is an artificial dam but it offers beautiful corners and places to walk and have a good time.

Small pool of water from where you can observe a large number of birds and where, a few meters away, there is an observatory/lookout where a large number of vultures usually live.

At this height there is a watchtower that is able to monitor the set of mountains in the area. In addition, close to it, we find a hermitage and a shelter where it is open during the coldest nights.

Area where you can find shadows and an area to rest and find quiet spaces. In the middle of a route it can be used to get some air!

The Fuente Barda stream, with a very irregular flow, is one of the courses contributing to the Arandilla River. At certain times of the year it can dry out completely, but at others, it is green and full of vegetation.
