Important information about the Lühe bascule bridge: The bridge is located at the mouth of the Lühe River where it flows into the Elbe River near Grünendeich. Its function allows shipping traffic over the Lühe flood barrier. It also protects against flooding. The bridge is operated by the Lower Saxony State Agency for Water Management, Coastal Protection and Nature Conservation (NLWKN). Opening hours: Between April 15th and September 30th, the bridge operator is on site daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
