The wedding forest in the municipality of Heidenau has been growing steadily for decades. The first planting took place in 1991 – by couples who were married in 1990. Today, the forest covers approximately 30,000 square meters and now comprises almost 400 trees, including 60 fruit trees in an idyllic orchard.

A small trail leads to the lake, and you have a wonderful view. However, it's a nature reserve, so it's okay to take a quick look. Please don't rest or swim.

The Töste, that's what it's only called in Tostedt. Otherwise it's the Dorer Mühlenbach, which is about 7 km long and flows into the Este. The landscape is very beautiful and in parts very rustic.
