Just great to see the animals again

You wouldn’t necessarily expect to find very interesting animals in Germany.

Actually, you know the animals from somewhere else. 🤣

Actually, the Hammerhof also offers an information center, which was not accessible during my visit. Then there is a small shop with very nice articles, a lot of information material and of course the café. The hospitality is really on the ball and the cake is delicious! The ingredients are not only 0815 goods, but the gooseberry cake was e.g. prepared with hazelnut flour and coconut. A stop is worthwhile!

The wildlife park was established in Hardehausen in 1958. Although the project was initially criticized, it quickly developed into a popular tourist destination. Five different animals can be seen in the huge enclosures: wild boars, tarpans, white red deer and two different bison breeds, which are kept strictly separate and all descended from just a few animals. In addition to larger walking routes, there are also two smaller hiking trails through the wildlife park that can be used as a wildlife park tour: the Bison Route West and the Bison Route East. This is the only way to really see the enclosures from all sides and it is up to chance whether you actually get to see all the animals. However, you are almost guaranteed to see the large herds of bison.

Super nice area here in Hardehausen. And there are a lot of animals to see here.
