The Church of Santiago Apóstol is an important building in the municipality and has a lot to do with the history and culture of the place. Although it was newly built, there was already a church building in the late 16th and early 17th centuries, which was largely destroyed by the earthquake of 1829. Inside, several altars are still preserved, such as those of the Dolorosa and the Sacred Heart, which date from the 19th century. There are also Baroque elements, such as a beautiful monstrance and several altarpieces. The church has three naves, a transept, and a tower. Its patron saints are Santiago Apóstol and the Immaculate Conception. The façade and the entrance hall are particularly striking and attract many visitors today.
