It is a beautiful place and well worth it.

As it passes through the surroundings of the town of Espinosa de los Monteros, natural pools are formed in the Trueba river where locals and also visitors take advantage of the summer months to take a bath and cool off.

Square that is in the old center of the center of Bárcenas and where, in the main square, is the Church of Santa María Magdalena.

In this area of the valley, at its bottom, the Río Trueba passes through the town of Espinosa de los Monteros. Along the river there are a set of natural pools originating from the river itself and which are used in summer by the inhabitants of the area.

In the north of Las Merindades, bordering the Cantabrian community, the municipality of Espinosa de los Monteros looms. The municipality is articulated around three small and narrow valleys modeled by the Lunada, Rioseco and La Sía rivers.

From this vantage point you can see the entire town of Espinosa de los Monteros, where above all, the Church of Santa Cecilia rises above the stilts of the other houses.

Castro Valnera is a beautiful, formidable mountain with its 1,718 meters. It is the highest in the eastern sector of the Cantabrian mountain range.
