It is a beautiful town on the banks of the Júcar River, ideal for resting and refueling in one of the local bars. The walk along the river is beautiful.

Jorquera is one of the most impressive municipalities in Castilla-La Mancha. Located on a rocky hill surrounded by the Júcar river. Here, just below, next to the dam on the river, some natural pools were formed, a mandatory stop to rest in the summer. Swimming area with natural shade and a place to have a picnic.

In the highest part of the town there is a piece of canvas from the Almohad wall and another little that is part of the cemetery. There are panoramic views of the town.

Located in a privileged enclave, surrounded by mountains and with good views of the Júcar river. The Almohad wall (12th century) stands out.

Here you can find the town hall and the church of San Juan Bautista, which dates back to the 18th century. It is also a good place to have a beer or coffee in the sun before or after your route.

The Júcar river offers a beautiful natural landscape, with impressive mountains and canyons. The Júcar River is one of the most important rivers in the Iberian Peninsula and is the second longest, with a total length of about 497 kilometres.

Located on the right bank of the Júcar river, the town is surrounded by innumerable green routes through which Roman roads used to pass. It is worth seeing the Iglesia de la Purísima Concepción, the Roman bridge, the Natural Area of El Santo and Alcalá del Júcar.
