Ancient border stone on the former border between Bern and Lucerne, when Aargau did not yet exist.

Boundary stone known as the "high Marchstein", which stands on the footpath over the Krätzerhof on the municipal boundary to Zofingen. The existing stone is a copy created by sculptor Edy Scheidegger in Zofingen in 1970, and it is not known how precisely it follows the original boundary mark of 1627. The stone has a stele-like shape with a curved, profiled top, which strangely enough bears the Zofinger coat of arms on the Bottenwil side and that of Bern on the Zofinger side, with the year 1627 underneath. On the two narrow sides are the signatures of the sculptor and the no. "125" and the name "Hoher Marchstein" carved into it.
