メインストリートは、ジブラルタル中心部にある商店街です。旧市街を通り抜け、ほとんどが歩行者天国となっています。数多くの免税店、国際的なブランド、小さなお店が立ち並んでいます。観光客は、リラックスした散歩、イギリスと地中海が融合した雰囲気、活気ある雰囲気の中でのお手頃なショッピングを楽しめます。

Awesome suspension bridge over the gorge

Well, it has a colonial feel, meaning palm trees in a British town center, nothing more. You can buy all sorts of things, from tea and tobacco to spirits and jewelry. However, it's no longer cheaper than in Germany; I compared prices in several shops and usually ended up paying the same or more. Customs regulations also need to be considered. Heligoland is much more interesting in that regard.

In addition to the more traditional shops, visitors to Main Street will find major British and international brands and chain stores, alongside craft and souvenir shops. Popular purchases include cosmetics and perfumes, jewellery, tobacco and spirits, designer glass frames, linens and electronics.

At the Skywalk you "float" over the rocks and there are always lots of monkeys in the area. If you choose the right perspective when taking photos, the glass panes make it look as if you are holding on to the horizon. Unfortunately, the floor of the Skywalk is not clear glass, but ribbed, which reduces the "thrill" considerably.

From the mountain station you have an excellent view of Gibraltar and the rest of the surrounding area. You can also see the coast of Morocco clearly when it is not cloudy, as it was during our visit. The mountain station also has a cafe with a view and a small souvenir shop. You can start the tour to the monkeys and the skywalk from up there, or take the cable car back down.
