    Located 340 meters above sea level, the Skywalk is higher than the Shard in London. Skywalk in Gibraltar offers stunning 360º views spanning three countries and two continents and links to sites within the Upper Rock Nature Reserve, including the exciting bridge, Windsor Suspension Bridge and the famous Apes' Den through a series of walkways.

      Great view of Gibraltar 🇬🇮 and the Spanish coast. If you are in Gibraltar you have to drive up the 400 meters there. The monkeys are very aggressive Zimmerin, you have to be careful with everything you have with you, backpack, sunglasses...

        Nice skywalk, but rather small and you have the magnificent view of Gibraltar in other places, you don't need to build a skywalk for that either 😄For the equivalent of 19€ per person, entry is included in the Gibraltar ticket. And like everywhere monkeys, monkeys, monkeys 🙉

          The Gibraltar Skywalk offers stunning 360º views of three countries and two continents and links to other sites in the Gibraltar Nature Reserve, Upper Rock including the thrilling Windsor Suspension Bridge and the famous Monkey Cave via a series of walking trails.

          Built on the foundations of an existing WWII base structure, the Skywalk is designed to withstand winds in excess of 150km/h and to support the weight of 5 Asian elephants or 340 people at one time (visitor numbers will be limited to 50 at any one time). The floor and parapet elements are made from 4 layers of laminated glass (with a total thickness of approximately 4.2cm).

          The 42 glass panels placed side by side would cover more than 750m², the equivalent of approximately 4 tennis courts. The walkway is 2.5m wide and projects a maximum of 6.7m from the main base. 70m of rock anchors and 30,000kg of steel secure the skywalk to the rocks.

                      At the Skywalk you "float" over the rocks and there are always lots of monkeys in the area.
                      If you choose the right perspective when taking photos, the glass panes make it look as if you are holding on to the horizon.

                      Unfortunately, the floor of the Skywalk is not clear glass, but ribbed, which reduces the "thrill" considerably.
