La Baule Bay, with its 9 km of sandy beach, is located between the marinas of Pornichet and La Baule and is part of the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World" club. The characteristic villas with their architectural features have earned the famous seaside resorts (Pornichet, La Baule, and Le Pouliguen) their nickname "The Strange Ladies."

Sainte-Marguerite Beach is the smallest of Pornichet's three beaches. For a complete immersion in the Pornichet of yesteryear, this is the perfect place. Lined with old-world villas and surrounded by wooded surroundings, it's a favorite with lovers from near and far, as well as locals who appreciate its discreet atmosphere. People love swimming here in the summer and strolling there in the fall, in a gentle and romantic atmosphere. On site: snack bar, restaurant, sailing school, beach club, lifeguard station, and restrooms. Swimming is supervised in July and August.

In the distance, the Pointe du Pouliguen, nearby, restaurants, bars, sailing schools, beach clubs... or the chance to enjoy a crepe with sugar or a waffle with whipped cream, comfortably seated on a terrace.

Pouliguen Bay, encompassing La Baule, is often considered a very pleasant place, offering a high quality of life, magnificent beaches, and water sports. Reviews highlight its beauty, summer entertainment, shopping, and quality of life. However, some residents criticize the excessive traffic in summer, the excessive quiet during the off-season, and the lack of cultural activities or affordable housing.

The beach is indeed really big, even if I prefer to swim at high tide.
