Beautiful view over the lake.

beautiful pass, quite rolling especially through St Germain de Joux, a little tougher on the Saint Claude side. lots of writing on the ground since the Tour de France passed through.

This glacial lake, backed by limestone cliffs, is sometimes sapphire in color, sometimes emerald - Alexandre Dumas wrote in his book Impression de voyage in 1834: "This pretty little sapphire blue lake, set like a jewel, that nature would fear to lose."

Parking lot on the road with a beautiful view of the Lac de Vouglans, crossed by the Ain.

This view of Lake Vouglans is a breathtaking panorama of deep blue waters framed by rolling hills and lush green forests. As you approach, the lake stretches for an impressive 35 kilometres. Vouglans is the third largest artificial lake in France, created by the construction of the Vouglans Dam.

Magnificent viewpoint, not to be missed under any circumstances.

From this bridge, you have an absolutely incredible view overlooking the Valserine gorges. If you are prone to vertigo, do not go near the edge.
