Magnificent view, but it's worth the effort!

Small village situated higher up. Nice climb with hairpin bends to it.

Also suitable for mobile homes.

The footpath seems to follow the riverbed for parts of this section. I was there at end of June & the river (stream really) was low, so that was OK. Be careful because there's a right turn up the right hand side of the valley (to get to the summit), not signposted. There were a few false starts finding this turn.

Lovely, well-kept village. Cafe de la Poste (closed early afternoon, during the week). Le Bistro - open and doing a roaring trade over lunch time.

There was plenty of room (weekday).

On a secondary road with practically no motorized traffic in a fantastic landscape. Venterol with its characteristic village square and bistro is worth a detour.

The "Circuit des Bornes Papales" follows some old boundary stones of the "Enclave des Papes". It also offers beautiful views of Mont Ventoux when it is not surrounded by clouds. There is a small car park at the starting point.
