Sant'Antonino is classified as one of the Plus beaux villages de France (most beautiful villages in France). Neighbouring communities of Sant'Antonino are Pigna to the north, Santa-Reparata-di-Balagna to the east, Cateri to the south and Aregno to the west. Sant'Antonino is located on a mountain ridge at an altitude of 479 m. Due to the excellent panoramic view, it is also called the "Eagle's Nest of the Balagne". The town can only be visited on foot. As a former fortified stronghold of the Counts of Savelli, Sant'Antonino also served as a refuge from pirates for the inhabitants of the Balagne.
