Even as a runner/cyclist you are sometimes chased through the middle of the mountain. Coming from Annecy, the "small" southern part of the lake opens up after the tunnel. Anyone who previously thought that they would soon be walking back in the direction of Annecy will be taught a lesson.

The fortified town, originally called "Boutae" - then "Annecy-le-Neuf" before being called "Alt-Annecy" - boasts one of the most ancient pasts, including important remains of "sea villages" from the Neolithic period (-4000). B.C.). In the Middle Ages, many craftsmen settled on the banks of the Thiou River and took advantage of its motive power. Feudal lords and the Count of Geneva established themselves in Annecy on both sides. This was followed by the incorporation of the territory of Genevois into the Duchy of Savoy, the creation of the prerogative of Geneva, the Wars of Religion, the accession of François de Sales to the episcopal see and the annexation of Savoy to France, all events that changed the city of Annecy.

Albigny beach is one of the few beaches close to the center of Annecy. You can rest on its expanse of grass, or on one of the wooden deckchairs installed on the pontoon which forms the angle of the lake. The view is awesome!
