Very beautiful monument this Gothic Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame de Mantes-la-Jolie

Several dozen kilometers from the center of Paris, the Notre-Dame de Mantes-la-Jolie collegiate church does not only have its name in common with the emblematic Parisian cathedral. Its facade, its style and its structure on three levels are very reminiscent of its big sister in the Ile-de-France region.

This pretty little village embedded in the Vaucouleurs valley owes its charm in particular to the hilly landscape that surrounds it. The town is crossed by a diversion channel of the river which fed an old mill.

The Yvelines are distinguished by the many traditional washhouses that litter the villages of the department. That of Senneville, a small hamlet attached to the town of Guerville, is one of them. It accentuates the picturesque charm of the square on which it is located.
