This pass can be reached in no less than 5 ways. For touring cyclists, the route via Beaufort-sur-Gervanne is recommended, because it is the most constant and gradual.

A beautiful view of the hills and vineyards of the Drôme. The best times to visit are spring and fall, to fully enjoy the colors.

On the archaeological site there are houses which have been dug into soft rock, partly linked to stone extraction activities. Today there are only around ten troglodyte houses left in approximately good condition in the town nicknamed “the village of a hundred troglodyte houses”. There are also cathedral cellars, the miraculous spring and the remains of a 15th century house.

At the beginning of the Middle Ages, Châteauneuf-sur-Isère was the seat of a seigniory which became the property of the bishops of Valence in the 13th century. This small village is full of treasures and picturesque sites. Whether it's the old mollasse quarries, its panoramas and viewpoints from the Saint-Hugues chapel or even from the banks of the Isère, take the time to explore this charming place.
