The Cour d’Appel de Paris (Court of Appeal) of Paris is also located here, as is the Tribunal de Grande Instance. The immediate proximity to the Direction régionale de la police judiciaire de la Préfecture de police, which occupies the buildings on the Quai des Orfèvres, facilitates communication between the executive and the judiciary.
