Very beautiful trail and magnificent view

Chaumont is a superb village of 500 inhabitants. The center of the village is dominated by the ruins of its old fortified castle, dating from the 12th century. There is a stopover gite for hikers in Chaumont, open from mid-April to the end of October.

This stone bridge dates from 1721, and allows you to admire the Fornant, as well as huge pots of giants. These cavities dug in the limestone rock are really surprising!

The castle used to belong to the Counts of Geneva, at the time it was a strategic point on the route from Geneva to Seyssel. The view from up here is awesome.

As if out of nowhere I suddenly stand in front of the beautiful bridge and the deep gorge, a wonderful place.

This imposing castle ruin, which was built by the Counts of Geneva in 1124, is located high above the houses in Chaumont. When the weather is nice, you can see the summit of Mont Blanc.

A very old arch bridge that leads impressively over the gorge of the Fornant stream. The stream has dug itself deep here and from the road bridge next door you can admire the Cascade de Borbannaz waterfall.

Just before Chaumont, breathe again and enjoy the beautiful view.
