The chapel was built in 1660 and is dedicated to Saint Christopher and Saint James of Compostela, both protectors of travelers. The chapel also contains a painting depicting these two saints carrying the baby Jesus. In summer, the chapel has been open every evening at 6 p.m. since 2017, inviting locals and tourists to pray and celebrate vespers to the sound of the bell.
