“Song of the Sun” is a fountain with three rays and a twelve-meter-high iron sculpture by the artist Edelbert W. Bregy in the roundabout in Naters. The ten-ton sculpture was created in 2007 entirely from 500 meters of rails from the degraded branch line of the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway, which ran through Naters just a few meters away. The four-ton ball at the top symbolizes the sun; it consists of 720 cross-sawn pieces of rail. The three supports represent the mitre in Naters' coat of arms.
