This imposing 18th-century abbey is one of the finest examples of baroque monastic architecture in Lorraine. Once the headquarters of the Order of the Premonstratensians, the building now houses a cultural centre and a hotel. Situated on the banks of the Moselle, between Metz and Nancy, the abbey offers a unique mix of heritage, art and tranquillity. The gardens, monumental staircase and cloisters are open to the public and are an impressive stopover for any bike tour.

If you need a place to stay overnight, we recommend the hotel in the former abbey (Acceuil Velo).

I recommend that you explore this square in the center of Pont-a-Mousson, including the largest Renaissance arcade group in Lorraine!!!

Very beautiful view of the Prémontrés Abbey which is on the other side of the Moselle. Also known as Sainte-Marie-Majeure, it dates from the 18th century.

It's actually a nice place, but there's a lot of traffic and the cobblestones make it pretty loud 😕.

This fortified house is built on and around a medieval castle that once stood there. Its name comes from that of one of the local lords who also built the chapel.
