At the confluence of the Erle and Nahe rivers, in the heart of the medieval town of Schleusingen, stands the mighty Bertholdsburg Castle. From the 13th century onward, it served as the ancestral seat of the Counts of Henneberg and is the oldest residential palace in Thuringia. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the fortified castle was rebuilt into an early modern palace in the Renaissance style. Today, the castle houses the Natural History Museum. The Waldbaude Großer Dreiherrenstein is a rustic restaurant in the Thuringian Forest, located directly on the Rennsteig Trail. The Bertholdsburg is definitely worth a look. There are stone dinosaurs much more to marvel at. All I can say is, make sure you check it out👍

Considering that there wasn't a cycle path here many years ago, it's all the nicer to find one here now with a well-paved path.
