The Werra River has not one, but two sources. While the "rear source" is located at this highlight, the so-called "front source" is located near Fehrenbach. The source was first tapped in 1909. Further information can be found on the information boards on site.

Shortly before the turnoff to Bleßberg, the road to Siegmundsberg winds upwards in two switchbacks. It's a pleasant drive.

The Dancing Lime Tree in Sachsenbrunn is a natural monument and stands by the Werra Bridge in the center of Sachsendorf, a district of Sachsenbrunn in the town of Eisfeld in the Hildburghausen district, on the southern edge of the Thuringian Forest. The large-leaved lime tree (Tilia platyphyllos) has served as a festival and dance venue for centuries. Its distinctive growth habit stems from the fact that its branches were trained to create a dance floor inside the tree, which is used for festivities during the summer months.
