⛪ **Saint-Croix Abbey in Bouzonville – Monastic Tradition with a Rich History** The **Saint-Croix Abbey** in **Bouzonville** is one of the oldest monastic complexes in the region. Founded in the **11th century**, it was a spiritual center between the Moselle and Saar rivers for centuries. The Romanesque-Gothic architecture of the monastery church has been rebuilt and restored several times, but its origins remain. 📜 After its dissolution during the French Revolution, the monastery was partially destroyed but later returned to religious use. This beautiful rest area is located on the former railway line, at the old train station in Pange.

Two hundred meters to the north, the "German" and "French" Nied flow together. From there on, it is simply called Nied. The path there is not suitable for racing bikes, however.

There are two benches in front of the chapel. Good opportunity for a break.

The road meanders through the forest and over a ridge. When the weather is nice, you have a great view there.

This typical castle of classicism was built in the 18th century. Property of the Pange family, it is entrusted to an association responsible for making it a house of arts, encounters and cultures.
