In the upper part of the village of Grosbliederstroff, directly at the intersection of the streets "Chapel" and "Saarebruck", between "Suppengasse" and "Wecht", immediately next to the roundabout located there, stands the "Sainte-Croix-Kapelle" in a simple style and unusual location.

The Grosbliederstroff Synagogue was built in 1835. It is located on Rue des Fermes. The synagogue was severely damaged by artillery fire in 1944/45 and therefore had to be completely renovated after 1945. Significant changes were made. A shady spot with benches under trees. A nice place to rest. In the middle is a fountain with the motif of a 1 euro coin. Unfortunately, the fountain was out of service today.

At Kleinblittersdorf train station, between the level crossing and the Friendship Bridge, an imposing Francis turbine wheel stands on a pedestal under an old chestnut tree. This wheel must have once been installed in a mill that stood at the Kleinblittersdorf barrage on the Saar. It appears that the mill building had to make way for the bypass road, which now runs directly past the barrage.

Between Saarbrücken and Saargemünd, one of the most beautiful river cycle paths I know. Very suitable for families and also very popular with inline skaters.
